Dear Classmate,
We are planning a wonderful 70th Reunion weekend back in Cambridge this spring, May 22–24, 2018. Please mark your calendars now. Our reunion planning committees are actively working across the Class Report, Reunion, and Class Gift.
Our 1948 Class Report
Normally the Reports end with the 65th, but the Harvard Alumni Association Class Report Office has kindly acceded to our wish for one more round. It will not be a massive volume, but if each of us responds at whatever length, it will be an interesting and valued link to one another. We are here and that alone is remarkable. More important, we have perspective and a long view. Please write of your experience, past and present, your reading, writing, musical life, indeed any of your continuing interests.
We do not have a formal anonymous survey questionnaire but hope you will comment, in your report or separately (and anonymously, if you wish) on (1) the state of the world and nation, (2) changes since graduation, those you applaud and those you deplore, (3) you current concerns, and (4) to keep our recording of seventy years, how you voted in 2016.
Our Reunion
Our reunion program will include a welcome reception on Tuesday, May 22, a day of activities and memorial service on Wednesday, and participation in Harvard’s Commencement activities on Thursday, May 24. All activities are being planned with consideration to classmate needs around mobility, hearing, and accessibility. We want to make it easy and fun for you to participate. If you have ideas about our program, please let us know. Information on the final program, pricing, and how to register is forthcoming.
